Birthdays

Birthdays are celebrated with a traditional birthday cake and a glass of sherry. Special birthday parties can also be arranged with three months notice. We can provide all your requirements

The Resident Call System operates throughout the Grange, including in all the bedrooms

Care Plan

Each Resident has a detailed Care Plan agreed and regularly reviewed with Residents and their representatives

Chiropodist

A trained Chiropodist visits The Grange regularly and appointments can be arranged. Written consent to treat is required.

Church

Residents supply details of their spiritual needs prior to admission, and these are taken fully into account in meeting the needs of Residents. St Deny’s Anglican Church is next to The Grange. An Escort service to the Church is provided on Sundays.

Twice a month there are services on Thurs. afternoons led by a small group from St Deny's church: a short Communion Service and a Songs of Praise. Relatives are welcome to attend.

The Revd Barbara Webb, associate priest at St Deny's, is available to minister to individuals. She may be contacted at home on 01235 202873.

Clothing

Residents choose what to wear. It is the responsibility of the Resident or representative to ensure that an adequate supply of clothes is available and that clothese carry sew-in labels.

Domestic Services

A team of domestic staff lead by a domestic supervisor ensure that the home is maintained in good order. The daily domestic room service includes the emptying of bins, cleaning sinks or en suite facilities, dusting and hoovering

Gardens

Landscaped gardens with wheelchair access and patio area provide pleasant views and a tranquil environment to enjoy in the warmer months

Hairdresser

Residents can choose to use the services of the visiting Hairdresser who comes every Monday.

Laundry

Laundry services are provided by The Grange

Library

The Mobile Library visits The Grange every two weeks and has a good selection of large print books.

Mail

Is delivered unopened daily by the care staff

Medication

The pharmacist prepares all drug charts from doctors’ prescriptions, and only qualified staff administer medication.
