Cuisine

Home cookingGetting the right nourishment is an important part of of looking after our health, as it enables us to feel healthier and protects us from illness.

At the Grange we foster good habits by encouraging our residents to have regular meals and snacks. All our meals are freshly cooked on the premises.

Cooked breakfast on requestAt breakfast there is a good choice of cereal and also porridge. Toast and marmalade is always a favourite. Also available is fresh fruit, fruit juice and yoghurt. A cooked breakfast is available on request.

For lunch, our experienced cooks can cater for many different tastes, but there’s also the old favourites, such as savoury mince, roast chicken, poached salmon, corn beef hash, and cauliflower cheese. Fridays often means Fish & chips. Just let the Cook know how you want your fish done for a perfect meal!

Variety is the spice of lifeAt tea time, a buffet-style selection is avalable. Enjoy quartered sandwiches with fillings of your choice, including tuna, cheese, salad, ham, egg and peanut butter. A light hot meal is always available, and a selection of homemade cakes (Lemon Drizzle always wins), puddings, fruit, ice cream, and yoghurt.

Drinks and light snacks are served throughout the day.

We also have access to specialist dietary advice should special therapeutic diets be needed.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 10.15am; with lunch between 12.15 and 1.00pm and afternoon tea from 5 to 6pm.
